Cafeteria
The cafeteria at LCAF provides all provide a range of snacks, hot and cold meals and drinks.
Library
The LCAF library has hundreds of texts to help students consolidate and refine course knowledge and skills. LCAF Library is equipped with heating; improved lighting; more power and ethernet points .The library, together with all our resources, is continually updated and hundreds of new titles are added every year. Full-time students are issued with library cards and can borrow any of the books in the library. The library staff will be happy to help anyone having difficulty finding what they require.

Additional Support

If you have a disability, sensory impairment, emotional or learning difficulty the Student Centre at the college can help. Here, you can discuss the support you would like and make arrangements to match your particular needs.
Support includes such things as
Fully wireless hotspot internet connection for all students Modified learning materials
Specialist IT or other equipment Referral for specialist help
Provision of a support assistant Photocopying and printing facilities are also available

Careers Advice And Guidance
We recognize that a college course is not an end in itself and that you will want to go on to higher level programmes within the college or elsewhere, to university or to work. Advice and guidance therefore starts at the interview for your course to ensure that you are following the right path for your future career goals. Personal tutors provide generic guidance although they have a wealth of experience of higher education and the world of employment. We want your College experience to be fun, rewarding and successful.
Tutoring
The tutorial curriculum at LCAF plays a vital role in your learning experience. You will have a personal tutor and be part of a tutor group which meets regularly. Your tutor will work with you to ensure you achieve your full potential and make the most of your time with us. He or she is on hand to give you support and guidance and will help you with career planning, study skills and applications for university places or jobs. In addition, your tutor is responsible for organizing any specialist support you may requires.
Your Progress
Each term you will review your progress with your personal tutor and discuss how you might build on strengths and develop any areas of weakness. These two-way reviews will result in agreed Action Plans which will have clear and challenging targets.
Computer And Communication Service
The College intranet offers students to access to a wide assortment of software packages including programming languages, database management systems, word processing, spreadsheet, and Web browsing, and other communications products. LCAF computer labs are connected to the Internet for use by all students. The system provides services such as electronic mail, web publishing and courseware, news and discussion groups, computer conferencing, remote computing, information retrieval and access to multimedia documents.
Student Appraisal And Feedback

At the end of each semester/year of instruction, the students have the opportunity to give their objective assessment about the effectiveness of the staff members’ teaching. Student Appraisal is extremely valuable because it provides feedback on the effectiveness of teaching and enables us to continuously improve our services
