| Student Welfare Officer |
Student Welfare Officer is the first point of consultation in any matter regarding the solution of your problems whether they are of academic nature or the matters of your dependents etc.

| Airport Meeting Service |
Overseas students arriving in the UK for the first time may wish to be met by the College Representative at the airport. Students wishing to be collected from the
airport must inform the College of the following at least four weeks before the arrival date: Airline and the Flight Number will be required to arrange for this.
From the airport, students are brought to the College, except for weekends when they are taken directly to their lodging. The college charges £75 for this service. |

| Accommodation |
LCAF can arrange, on request, accommodation for its students. Initially, LCAF can reserve accommodation with the International Students House with which we are affiliated, or a host family within reasonable travelling distance. The weekly rent for this type of accommodation may range from £60 to £100 per week. The majority of the students reserve accommodation for an initial period of 4 weeks. After the initial period they may extend the contract beyond the initially reserved period or look for alternative accommodation with support from the college.
For accommodation to be arranged by the LCAF, students must inform the Student Facilities Manager at least four weeks before accommodation is required and

Send a draft of £420.00 payable to LCAF (which is one month’s rent deposit and is adjusted against the first 4 weeks’ rent) any excess amount is refunded to students.

| Medical Care For Overseas Students |
| Overseas students enrolled on courses of more than six months duration are entitled to free hospital treatment through the UK National Health Service. All students must register with a local doctor. Students encountering any difficulties in obtaining medical care must consult the College immediately. |

| Bank Accounts |
| Student Welfare Officer will guide you during the opening of a student bank account as a foreign student. Students must bring bank statements/ financial documents or official bank letter of their sponsor from their home country. |

| Tfl Student Discount Scheme (18+ Student Oyster Photo Card) |
| All full time students are entitled to apply for student Oyster card scheme, giving you 30% off travel costs. The colleges who will issue a student oyster card form, or you can apply online and we will verify your name and you will receive your Student Oyster Card at your home address. | Work |
| As a foreign student in U.K all individuals have a right to work part time during the term of study. The Home Office sets the working hours for further detail please visit www.dss.gov.uk |
