  The library and IT facilities are fantastic. As a bookworm, LCAF’s library is more than enough to satisfy me but if I want something more, the Whitechapel Library is only a few minutes walk away.

Diploma In It
This is the Diploma level of Higher Education Qualifications.

This level is the academic equivalent to Year 2 of a UK university honours degree and is recognised by the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority (QCA) as Level 5.

By beginning the Diploma in IT level course BCS assumes knowledge of the Certificate in IT level modules (or exemption) and focuses on the following:
Programme Structure
 Professional Issues in Information Systems Practice (Core Module)
 Computer Networks
 Database Systems
 IT Project Management
 Object Oriented Programming
 Systems Analysis (Last ever exam October 2010)
 Principles of Internet Technologies (April only) (this module has replaced The    Internet & World Wide Web and is not available for online registration)
IT Service Management April only
 
 
 Faculty of Computing
  Diploma in IT
  Professional Graduate
Diploma in IT
  Post Graduate Diploma In Information Systems
 
   
Software Engineering 1 (April only)
Systems Design (April only - Last ever exam April 2010)
Principles of User Interface Design (April only)
Completion of the Diploma Examinations level means you are eligible to apply for BCS Membership if you have 3 years' experience as an IT professional.
Professional Project
In order to finish the Diploma in IT level candidates must complete a project.
Entry Requirements
By beginning the Diploma in IT level course BCS assumes knowledge of the Certificate in IT level modules
   (or exemption) and focuses on the above.
A Levels or equivalent
A good understanding of English
At least 19 years old

Please note that students are responsible for their external university/ awarding body registration and exam fees unless otherwise specified. Please contact our admissions office or the relevant department for further information on corresponding external university/ awarding body registration and exam fees.

A deadline will be announced by LCAF for upcoming examinations by the awarding bodies and a student registered for those exams must pay the examination fee before the deadline. Passing the deadline may result in a student not being eligible to sit in the exams or might be redeemed as failed.
